Eburru Forest

Eburu Forest sits on the slopes of Mount Eburu, an impressive volcanic mountain that rises to 2,837m above sea level. The forest offers sweeping views of Lake Naivasha to the south, Lake Elementaita to the north, and Lake Nakuru to the northwest. Its unique setting within the Rift Valley makes it rich in biodiversity, home to rare and endangered plant and animal species.

The name Eburru comes from the Maasai language, meaning “the smoking mountain,” a reference to its volcanic origins.
