We retain the right to admit or deny participation based on conduct, late arrival, or other grounds that may impact the group experience or safety.
🗓️ Day Hikes – Cancellation & Refund Conditions
✅ Free Cancellation – 7 Days or More Before the Trip
If you cancel your booking at least 7 days before the scheduled hike, you will receive a full refund of any amount paid.
🟡 Partial Refund – Cancellations Between 48 Hours and 7 Days Prior
If your cancellation request is made between 48 hours and 7 days before the event, you will be eligible for a 50% refund on the booking confirmation deposit.
Any amount paid above the deposit will be refunded in full.
❌ No Refund on Deposit – Cancellations Within 48 Hours
For cancellations made within 48 hours of the event, the booking confirmation deposit becomes non-refundable.
However, any additional payments beyond the deposit will still be refunded in full.
🚫 No-Show or Late Arrival
If you fail to attend the event without prior notice, or arrive too late to join the group, you will forfeit the full amount paid. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
🗓️ Mount Kenya Expedition – Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to offer a fair and transparent cancellation policy for all our Mount Kenya expeditions. Below is a comprehensive outline of how cancellations and refunds are handled, based on how far in advance the cancellation is made:
✅ Full Refund – Cancellations Made 10 Days or More in Advance
If you choose to cancel your expedition at least 10 days before the scheduled start date, you are entitled to a 100% refund of any payments made. We appreciate early notice, and this allows us time to make necessary adjustments without incurring costs.
🟡 Partial Refund – Cancellations Made 5 to 9 Days Before Start Date
For cancellations made between 5 and 9 days prior to the expedition, we will refund 50% of the total amount paid. By this point, some logistical preparations have already been made, so a partial deduction is necessary to cover those costs.
🔺 Deposit Forfeited – Cancellations Within 48 Hours to 5 Days Before Start Date
If your cancellation occurs between 48 hours and 5 days before the expedition begins, your booking deposit becomes non-refundable. This is because your reservation has already been locked in, and resources have been committed specifically for your participation.
